This guide will help you customize your site’s identity using the WordPress Customizer, including your site title, tagline, and logo โ all key elements for building your personal resume brand.
๐ How to Access the Customizer
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard:

โคAppearance > Customize - Click on:

โ๏ธ Site Title
- This is the main name of your website.
โค Example:John Doe - It appears in:
- The browser tab
- Header (if enabled)
- Search engine results
๐ You can leave this blank if you’re only using a logo.
๐ฌ Tagline (Optional)
- A short description or slogan.
โค Example:Creative Web Developer & Freelancer - It may appear below the site title or in the browser tab depending on the theme.
๐ก Keep it short and relevant to your profession or purpose.
๐ผ๏ธ Logo (Optional)
- Upload a personal logo or professional headshot.
Recommended size:
โ๏ธ Square or round image, ideally 300×300 px (JPEG or PNG)
Steps to upload:
- Click Select Logo
- Choose an image from your media library or upload a new one
- Crop if needed, then click Publish
๐ If you’re not using a logo, your Site Title will be displayed instead.
๐ Site Icon (Favicon)
- This is the small icon shown in the browser tab
Recommended size:

To set:
- Under Site Identity, click Select Site Icon
